PROS:

• Silicic acid is absorbed in 12-36 hours, not 7-10 days as other forms of silica are prone to
• Builds thicker walls within plant cells, resulting in thicker stems, leaves and branches
• Increases tolerance to extreme temperature conditions and pests
• Increases plant growth and vigour
• pH stable
• Use only once per week, small dosage.
• Concentrated formula
• Excellent value per mL

CONS:

• Upfront cost
• Care must be taken when using alongside other nutrient ranges
• Will crystallise if not mixed properly. Always add Vitalize to water first and before any other nutrient.

USING MILLS VITALIZE WHEN GROWING IN COCO COIR

Most growers use Vitalize by incorporating it into their weekly feeding schedule one day per week.

I do things a little differently and start the weekly feeding schedule with a 'no-feeding' day and use Vitalize as a super-charged wash/flush/conditioning treatment instead. This method helps reduce salt build-up in the coco coir, reducing the chance of lock-out at any point during the grow.

1. Fill your mixing tank with required volume of water
2. (Optional) PondMAX Pond Water Treatment & Conditioner. Mix thoroughly.
3. Let this solution sit for 10-15 mins
4. Add Vitalize and mix thoroughly
5. (Optional) Add HY-GEN Humiboosta and mix thoroughly
6. Test and correct pH if necessary. (5.8 - 6.2)
7. Water plants thoroughly until 5% run-off

USING VITALIZE IN A DEEP WATER CULTURE SYSTEM 

I add Vitalize once per week when I empty and reset my DWC reservoir. It's a good way to punctuate the beginning of a new feeding week, and it also forces me to change my reservoir every 7 days (rather than trying to stretch it out to 10 days). 

1. Fill your mixing tank with required volume of water
2. (Optional) Add PondMAX Pond Water Treatment & Conditioner. Mix thoroughly.
3. Let this solution sit for 10-15 mins
4. Add Vitalize and mix thoroughly
5. Add Mills Basis A, mix.
6. Add Mills Basis B, mix.
7. Add your booster(s), mix.
8. Test and correct pH/EC, if required.
