What are hydroponic nutrient packages?
Hydroponic nutrient packages are pre-grouped bundles that combine base nutrients with compatible additives and plant boosters into a single purchase. Rather than building a feeding program from scratch by trialling individual products, a nutrient package gives you a curated combination of products that are formulated to work together — covering the key nutritional requirements from vegetative growth through to late flowering and harvest.

How to choose the right nutrient package
Grow pack vs. Grow Plus pack
The standard Grow and Bloom packs contain CYCO's A+B base nutrients for each stage — a two-part system that covers your plant's primary macronutrient requirements (nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium) and secondary elements. The Plus packs add a curated selection of CYCO additives targeting specific plant responses: stronger root systems, improved uptake efficiency, or enhanced flowering. If you're new to CYCO, the standard packs are the simpler starting point; the Plus packs suit growers who want to run a more complete program from the outset.
1L vs. 5L packs
The 1L packs are well suited to smaller grows — a single tent or a hobby coco coir setup. For growers running larger systems, multiple tents, or mixing large reservoir volumes, the 5L packs offer significantly better cost-per-litre and reduce how often you're restocking mid-cycle. EC (electrical conductivity) targets for CYCO typically sit between 1.2–2.4 mS/cm depending on growth stage and crop type — the 5L packs make it easier to mix consistently across larger feed volumes.
CYCO Platinum Series vs. Byron Bay Gold
CYCO Platinum Series is a mineral-based hydroponic system formulated for recirculating and coco coir grows, with a strong track record in Australian indoor gardens. Byron Bay Gold is an Australian-made, mineral-based range suited to growers who prefer a locally formulated program. Both deliver reliable results — the choice often comes down to brand familiarity, your preferred grow medium, and whether you're running a recirculating system or hand-watering in coco.
New to hydroponic nutrients?
Start with a base A+B system and nothing else for your first few weeks. Once you understand how your plants respond — reading leaf colour, monitoring EC runoff, and observing growth rate — you can introduce additives with confidence. The CYCO Grow Pack or Bloom Pack is the lowest-complexity entry point; the Plus packs are there when you're ready to layer in more.
