Collection: Watering Cans
Watering cans from Haws and Burgon & Ball — precision-made indoor and outdoor designs in copper, galvanised steel, and enamelware, built for serious gardeners and thoughtful gifting.
Why Haws and Burgon & Ball?
Both brands have decades of continuous production behind them and are still made to exacting standards — Haws in the UK since 1886, Burgon & Ball in Sheffield with over 250 years of tool-making heritage. What sets them apart from generic watering cans is build quality that holds up to daily use, ergonomic balance when full, and designs that look as considered as they function. These are tools you reach for without thinking twice.

How to Choose
Indoor vs outdoor use
For indoor plants, houseplants, and seedlings, a long-spouted can with controlled flow is what matters — the Haws Fazeley Flow and Sophie Conran can both deliver a slow, directed pour without disturbing soil or foliage. For outdoor use across garden beds, lawns, or larger containers, the Haws Rowley Ripple and Burgon & Ball Waterfall range (5L or 9L) give you the capacity and balance to work efficiently without constantly refilling.
Capacity
The 9L Waterfall is a full-load outdoor can — ideal if you're covering a reasonable amount of ground each watering session. The 5L suits balconies, courtyard gardens, or anyone who prefers a lighter carry. The indoor cans are intentionally smaller; indoor plants rarely need volume, they need precision.
Gifting
The Enamelwares range in particular presents well — the powder-coated finish, colour range, and compact form make it a genuinely useful gift that doesn't feel like a generic garden store pick. The Haws Fazeley Flow copper can and Rowley Ripple are strong choices for plant lovers and gardeners who appreciate well-made tools.
Materials and Care
Galvanised steel cans (Haws Rowley Ripple, Burgon & Ball Waterfall) are suited to outdoor storage but benefit from being emptied when not in use to extend the finish. Solid copper (Haws Fazeley Flow) will patina naturally over time — this is expected and part of the material's character. Enamelwares cans should be stored indoors away from prolonged moisture.
