How to choose
Calibration vs. adjustment
Calibration solution and pH up/down solve different problems. Calibration buffers correct your meter so its readings are accurate; pH up and pH down correct your nutrient solution once you've taken an accurate reading. You need both — one without the other leaves a gap in your routine.
Cleaning vs. storage
Probe cleaning and probe storage solutions are also different products. Cleaning solution removes buildup and residue from the probe tip, while storage solution keeps the tip hydrated between uses so the sensing membrane doesn't dry out and degrade.
Two-point vs. three-point calibration
Most hydroponic growers only need pH 4 and pH 7 buffers for two-point calibration, since nutrient solutions typically sit in the 5.8–6.2 range. Adding a pH 10 buffer for three-point calibration improves accuracy at the higher end of the scale, which is useful if you're also using your meter for tap or reservoir water testing outside typical growing ranges.
