Q. What is LIQUID SCIENCE Pure Guard used for?

Pure Guard is a substrate steriliser and system cleanser. It cleans and sanitises the root zone, fending off fungal diseases and mould outbreaks before they take hold, without harming plants or the hydroponic system.

Q. Is Pure Guard safe to use?

Yes. Pure Guard is derived from soy bean extract, is non-toxic, non-systemic and safe for people, plants and pets. It uses an organic dispersant and non-ionic surfactant and does not contain harmful chemicals.

Q. Does Pure Guard require a withholding period before harvest?

No. Pure Guard does not require a withholding period prior to harvest, as it has no systemic qualities.

Q. Can I mix Pure Guard with other root zone treatments?

No. Pure Guard should be applied as a standalone root zone treatment and should not be used in conjunction with other root zone treatments, stimulants or preventatives.

Q. Will Pure Guard affect beneficial bacteria in my system?

Pure Guard does not promote beneficial bacterial growth. If you are trying to build up beneficial bacteria, this is probably not the right product for that purpose.

Q. Why does Pure Guard foam when added to my tank?

Foaming when dosing tanks is normal and will dissipate over time without any adverse effect on plants. Turn off all forms of oxygenation while dosing.

Q. What pack sizes is Pure Guard available in?

Pure Guard is available in 250ml, 1 Litre, 5 Litre and 25 Litre packs.
