Q. What is SEAHAWK Acoustic Ducting used for?

It's insulated, flexible ducting for grow rooms and larger ventilation systems. It works on intake or exhaust and pairs well with can fans, carbon filters and silenced ventilation setups.

Q. What size fan or filter does this suit?

This 315mm (12–13 inch) duct is sized to match large extraction can fans and odour-scrubbing carbon filters of the same diameter.

Q. How is this different from standard silver ducting?

The polyester (Dacron) insulation between the perforated inner duct and the outer layer absorbs airflow and fan noise. It's also gentler to handle than fibreglass-insulated ducting, since it doesn't shed itchy fibres.

Q. Do I need a clamp to fit this duct?

Yes. Fix it firmly in place with a matching duct clamp, then tape over the clamp with a strong mylar or foil tape for an airtight seal.

Q. Does it help with condensation?

The sealed outer layer helps limit condensation forming on the outside of the duct. To avoid moisture building up inside, keep runs supported and avoid routing through cold, damp areas.

Q. How do I get the best noise reduction from it?

Stretch the duct fully, avoid sharp bends, and seal every connection with a clamp and tape. Pairing it with a silenced or quality fan run at a lower speed will further cut noise.
